ABOUT RYAN

I was born and raised in Minneapolis, where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Minneapolis College of Art & Design. After college, I founded Perspective Pictures, a boutique wedding and event production company. While I enjoyed running the business, I was ready for my next challenge. In 2012, I relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in Hollywood.

But I didn’t just want to work in Hollywood—I wanted to own a piece of it. That same year, I co-founded what would become one of Los Angeles' premier independent production studios with my business partner, Laura. The studio grew rapidly, expanding to five stages with over a dozen standing sets, including a full 737 airplane mockup, a VFX stage, and a full-service props department. Laura and I remained partners until 2014, when she left to explore other ventures.

Over the next eight years, I played a key role in more than 1,500 productions for major companies like Netflix, Amazon, and Disney, building a reputation as a leader in the entertainment industry. After a decade of success, I found myself looking for the next challenge—though I wasn’t quite sure what that would be.

Then, in the fall of 2024, upon a chance phone call from Laura we decided to team up again, but this time, we set our sights on the small screen. Hollywood had lost its appeal, and I told Laura, "I’d rather create stories that means a lot to a few people than something that means little to many." and All Roads Cinema is the result, because all roads lead back home.

ABOUT LAURA

For as long as I can remember, I have been documenting everyone and everything around me. I started playing with my dad's Minolta when I was just 9 years old and have had a camera in my hand ever since.

I was born and raised in Connecticut but relocated to San Diego in my early 20s. I shot weddings, families, pets, portraits, and even had the opportunity to visit and photograph on all seven continents. In 2010, I met Ryan, an incredible videographer and editor. Then in 2012, I moved to Los Angeles and partnered with Ryan to form what would become one of LA's premiere independent production studios. But after a couple of years, I found myself missing San Diego, so I moved back south. I’m forever grateful to Ryan for introducing me to the concept of a legacy video. He was in the process of interviewing his grandparents and capturing their stories on film, and all I could think about was how important it is for people to interview their elders.

I lost both of my parents at a young age and have been surrounded by death since I was little. When people ask, “Who would you have lunch with if you had the chance?” some people would name celebrities, others deceased public figures. I had always wished I had a few more minutes with my mom or my dad. I’m back in New England now, reconnecting with old friends and family. I never in a million years thought I would leave the beautiful weather of Southern California, but I realized that I needed to go home. The name All Roads Cinema comes from that feeling I had—that I needed to return to my roots. All roads lead back home.

My purpose in life is to give people a voice. I hope that if you ever find yourself in front of my camera, you’ll share your stories and your authentic self for future generations to enjoy.
