Many chronic conditions, such as IBS, digestive problems, migraines, depression, and mood disorders, can indicate a food sensitivity. While common triggers like dairy and gluten are well-known, food sensitivities can be complex and challenging to identify. Sometimes, a less obvious source may be causing or contributing to a patient’s symptoms.
Our 240 Food Panel offers comprehensive testing to identify sensitivities to both common and less prevalent food triggers, some of which patients may not even realize are part of their diet. This panel is ideal for those who consume a wide variety of foods and cuisines. Once trigger foods are identified, they can be managed to relieve symptoms and support optimal health.
Our panel utilizes a quantitative ELISA analysis to measure specific IgG, IgG4, and IgA antibodies to 240 common foods and spices.
Each specimen is tested in duplicate on the ELISA platform. We follow a rigorous process to extract the key component from each analyte, ensuring the antibodies present in the patient’s serum will bind to them, and we validate with positive and negative controls. The IgG and/or IgA antibodies, once bound to the antigen, are detected through spectrophotometric analysis, with values directly proportional to the concentration of the analytes in the sample.
