Adrenal Fatigue Testing & Consultation
$420.00
This test measures the levels of the adrenal hormone cortisol, which is produced by the adrenal glands in response to stress. Prolonged high cortisol production can lead to chronic fatigue, "adrenal burnout," and other health issues.
The test evaluates cortisol levels at four different times throughout the day, providing a complete picture of the daily cycle. Saliva samples are collected four times in a 24-hour period (morning, noon, evening, and nighttime). It is recommended for individuals experiencing long-term situational stress and fatigue, which may indicate adrenal imbalance.
Cortisol levels in the body show diurnal variation, with the highest levels occurring in the early morning and the lowest levels around midnight, or 3-5 hours after the onset of sleep. While there is significant individual variation, a person’s cortisol rhythm tends to be consistent.
Symptoms of Cortisol Hormone Dysfunction:
Irregular cortisol patterns have been linked to abnormal ACTH levels, clinical depression, psychological stress, and physiological stressors such as hypoglycemia, illness, fever, trauma, surgery, pain, physical exertion, or extreme temperatures.
